Anne-Therese Peterson, Therapeutic Massage

Credentials

I have a Bachelor Degree in French from IPFW but decided to pursue my passion and further my education by attending IvyTech Community College in the field of Massage Therapy in 2010. I obtained my massage certification/license in January of 2013 from the INDIANA Professional Licensing Agency State Board of Massage Therapy.

My training includes Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, infant/youth and geriatric massage; reflexology, acupressure and a certification in sports massage from the American College of Sports Medicine.

Through continuing education, I have earned certifications in craniosacral therapy, through the Upledger Institute, medical massage from Ralph Stephen (focusing on cranial pain for TMJ, headache relief, abdominal wall for low back pain); and  regularly attend Myofascial release therapy seminars with John Barnes. I am certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy also called Deepfeet Bar Therapy. I am also certified in cupping, hot stone therapy and in myoskeletal alignment techniques from Erik Dalton and Tom Myers, Anatomy Trains (assessing the different fascial planes).

From October 2011 to December 2012 I did an internship at Massage Therapy Clinic Fort Wayne.
I have experience in the "Spa setting" as I worked part-time for about 2 years at the Woodhouse Day Spa in Fort Wayne.

I regularly do massage on athletes/coaches, health care providers, people who want deep therapeutic bodywork and don't seem to find deep anywhere, people suffering from headaches/migraines, TMJ, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), whiplash, post surgery and many other injuries/conditions.

I am passionate about my work!
